MISSION:
Made for a Mission

PURPOSE - The reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.
GOD’S FIVE PURPOSES FOR YOUR LIFE:
- WORSHIP (loving God back)
- COMMUNITY (loving God family)
- MATURITY (becoming like Christ)
- MINISTRY (serving God by serving others)
- ________________________ (sharing the Good News)
- MY 5th PURPOSE IS TO _____________________________
- You were MADE FOR A _________________.
John 17:18 (NIV) 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.
John 20:21 (NIV) As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.
Acts 20:24 (NCV) the most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work the Lord Jesus gave me to tell people the good news about God’s grace.
Acts 1:8 (NIV) You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

“Jerusalem” = the people closest to me (Simi Valley)
“Judea/Samaria” = people near but different from me (LA &Ventura)
“Ends of the earth” = everybody else!
- A Witness is Somebody who _______ What they Have _______.
COMPLETING MY MISSION
1. I must Share with those _________________ World.
Luke 8:39 He said this, (NCV) "Go back home (Gk. “oikos”) and tell your own people (Gk. “ho sos”) how much God has done for you.” So that man went all over town telling how much Jesus had done for him.
1 Peter 3:15 (TEV) Be ready at all times to answer anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have in you.
Believe… God made me to love me and to live for his purposes.
Admit… I’ve lived for myself, then accept God’s free forgiveness
which was paid for by Jesus.
Switch… to living for God’s purposes in my life.
Express… my desire for Jesus to be the Lord (leader) of my life.
- The Secret word to Success: “____________________”
- C.O.R. - “Circle Of Relationships” (“Sphere of Influence”)
Mark 5:18–20 (NIV) 18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. 19 Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people (Greek: “Oikos ho sos” - “Your Home”) and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” 20 So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.
- We will be Held Most Accountable for those we are __________!
Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV) Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations,
- “Go” – passive & plural… “Since All of you are going” (to hang with your friends, to the Gym, to Work, to your Grandparents house, to your Kids Soccer Game… Make Disciples!)
Passive implies that you ALLOW it to HAPPEN to you… Since you’re all going to be Spending Time with People in your Circle of Relationships, Let Discipleship Happen!
2 Peter 3:9 (NCV) God doesn't want anyone to be lost, but He wants all people to change their hearts and lives!
2. I must Dare to _______________________ my World.
We believe a great ___________ to the great Commandment
and the great Commission will grow a great ___________!
The Great Commandment:
Matthew 22:36-40 (NIV) Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart... soul... and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
The Great Commission:
Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV) Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
I Cor. 9:22 (LB) Whatever each person is like, I try to find common ground with him so that he will let me tell him about Christ and let Christ save him.
Galatians 6:2 (MSG) Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ's law.
James 1:27 (MSG) Real religion, the kind that passes muster before God the Father, is this: reach out to the homeless and the loveless in their plight.
Matthew 25:35-36 (NLT) I was hungry, and you fed Me. I was thirsty and you gave Me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited Me into your home. I was naked, and you gave Me clothing. I was sick and you cared for Me. I was in prison and you visited Me.
3. I must Care about _____________________ World.
Mark 16:15 (NIV) 15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
Mark 8:35 (NCV) 35 Those who want to save their lives will give up true life. But those who give up their lives for me and for the Good News will have true life.
“He is no fool, who gives up what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose!” Jim Elliott
Romans 10:13-15 (NIV) Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
** The Most Dangerous Prayer you can Pray is…
"God, I want You to _________________."
